I went to the pool a couple of weeks ago and realized when I moved my arms from the stationary position (at my sides) the cups of my swim suit would open up like a cover of a book, offering everyone a full view of my (ahem) well, the tiny results of nursing two kids. I am way too lazy to go modest swim suit shopping in the fall. With all of the repurposing going on all over blog world I felt inspired just to fix my swim suit. I cut the ring off and sewed the two pieces that used to hold the ring together. Ta Da non-revealing swimming suit. It is a little more boring without the ring. But I rather have it that way than show off what exactly I am lacking on top.

ReplyDeleteYou know, I had to hunt high and low to be able to even find the current swimsuit I have and that still exposes a little more than I want. I was going to have my mom help me fix it while I was in Utah but we ran out of time. So I just have to deal with it. But it sure is hard to find modest swimwear- unless you order online- and then you never know if it is going to fit right or feel like clothing instead of swimwear.
